Academic license requirements

To support education, Lordicon is giving a free access for the entire library for students, teachers and staff from public schools and universities.

Verification process

Verification is easy and straightforward.

  1. Register for an account: To sign up, please use your school email address. Make sure that your email address is on the email whitelist.

  2. Complete verification: To complete the verification process, you need to provide proof (a scan of an ID or document) that you are an active student or educator.

  3. Wait for approval: We will review your application and get back to you within 10 days with a decision.

Common rejection reason

  • The attached scan of the document (e.g., student ID) does not display visible information about the expiry date or expiration date that has passed.

  • The attached proof is not an official document that proves your status as a student or teacher (e.g. timetable).

  • The email address you provided is not associated with any educational institution.

Terms

What you can do with academic access:
  • use all icons in unlimited personal or educational projects;
  • set up unlimited icon collections;
  • add icons to favorites;
  • bulk download icon collections;
  • use all icons in web design, print, applications, illustrations, videos, social media posts, video games, and presentations;
What you can not do with academic access:
  • use icons without crediting Lordicon;
  • use icons for commercial projects;
  • use icons in any product in which the icons form the core of that product (e.g. an icon library or pack, a plugin that focuses only on delivering specific animated icons);
  • re-sell, rent, lend, assign, gift, or otherwise transfer or distribute the icons or the rights granted under this license (even for free);
